Book

“Food For Your Eyes” aims to educate the public about the prevention of AMD through diet. This bilingual book (English – Chinese) translates the recent scientific research of dietary methods to prevent AMD into simple recipes for the Asian diet. This unique recipe-cum-self help book is written by both a Dietitian (Ms Goo Chui Hoong) and Ophthalmologist (Dr Kenneth Fong). This book contains a lot of detailed information on common eye conditions and various supplements for the eye. This would also serve the public as a health-eating book.

The royalties of the book will be donated to the National Council for the Blind Malaysia (NCBM). The book has been awarded the Gourmand Award for Best Health Cookbook in the World 2012. Further details are available here.

The book is available for purchase in major bookstores in Malaysia and Singapore and online at https://bookstore.thestar.com.my/product.aspx?id=BK-10020

These medications may need to be stopped before surgery.

You can listen to Dr Fong talking about cataract surgery.

Phacoemulsification surgery
